GTA Home Show - February 2016 - ReCap

We were delighted be asked and were excited to work on this fun and creative project for our team at Kate Davidson Design to create the “Design Intervention” feature presented by RENO & DECOR at the GTA Home & Reno Show in February of this year.

Inspired by the colours of the year: Rose Quartz and Serenity; I based the booth’s decor scheme on these soft and muted tones.  We selected fabulous furniture pieces from Upcountry  for the booth which included marble accent tables as well as chrome & leather chairs and linen upholstery pieces.  The custom murals made for us by Bespoke My Place were selected to add  further colour and dimension to the booth.  The overall motif was inspired and to evoke thoughts of spring and to continue the use of soft pastel tones in modern and organic images.

As accents are essential to finish off any interior space we worked with a great company Renwil on the final selections for the mirrors and artwork while Minster Interiors contributed a beautiful area rug for the living space. Over the dining table we selected a statement chandelier from Toronto lighting retailer Royal Lighting to complete and finish the space beautifully.

All of these stunning furnishings were featured in a wonderful backdrop on top of the weathered wood dry lay flooring we love using by Bousada and XL Flooring called: Savana Bay.  For the walls the soft hue of: Ecru # 2014-70 by Benjamin Moore was used on the walls that were not showcasing a mural.  We hope this space may inspire you to bring in the current trendy pastel tones into your home this coming spring.
